Fleetfoot is the big brother of the 18' Flapper. With the same open cockpit
design. With a length of 22' and a full breadth of nearly 67 inches, this is a
boat that will take you where you need to go. Generally, the V-bottom type of
boat type of hull has many advantages. It uses simple batten and chine
construction which adds to the strength of the overall hull using modern
construction methods for frames.
The Fleetfoot cockpit arrangement is
a single cockpit with seating for 5 or
6 if the front seats are changed from
single to bench. The engine is
forward of the skipper and the roomy
cockpit makes for an enjoyable and
social day out with friends.
Construction is standard plank on
frame and the creative builder could
substitute Marine plywood or cold
molding if they chose.
There is nothing particularly tricky
about the building of this boat and it
comes with the designers complete
set of building notes. All the
information is there to build a very
traditional runabout. We have also
added a significant amount of
building details using modern
composites and adhesives .
