A kit for your canoe is a great way to insure success. We offer two types of kits. The "essentials kit" and the "full
kit" We are also happy to quote you a custom kit if you have specific needs. Our goal is to make your canoe
building journey a successful one. The following is a description of boat kits. Please feel free to contact us with

The "Essentials Kit" Contains All the full length Western Red Cedar strips,
fiberglass cloth and epoxy you will need for the completion of your boat. We can
supply an "Essentials Kit" for slightly more, or in some cases for less than it
would cost for you to purchase and mill your own kit locally. We purchase cedar
from the mills thousands of board feet at a time and plane, bead and cove to
ensure the perfect strip kit for ease of building. Each kit comes with an
assortment of highly colored strips.
Every kit comes with an epoxy kit and fiberglass cloth specifically designed for
your boat. Each kit includes Resin, hardener and the appropriate amount of 6 oz
60" wide cloth.
When you order, we will contact you to discuss any specific needs your specific
building conditions may require to help to produce the kit that will best work in
your climate and temperatures.

gunwales have scuppers applied unless you specify otherwise , leaving only final
accommodate the gunwale cap design.
All or our cane canoe seats are beautifully crafted from Ash and dipped in varnish with
UV Protection. The comfortable contoured seat lowers the center of gravity.
The seats provided for the Adirondack guide boat are crafted from Cherry and oiled.
The aft passenger seat comes with a seat back.
On solo canoes such as the Bufflehead, there is the option of a single solo paddle seat
with a built in yoke.
Canoes such as the Little Rob come with a very clever folding cane seat which can
either be set in the boat permanently or left to be pulled out for a sit on the beach.
The Bay Hawk series is a simple adjustable back strap connected to the gunwales. This
allows for a very low center of gravity. You may want to consider the folding cane seats
for the duet.

Yokes will be supplied for open paddle canoes. Clear Ash is the standard yoke
however it can be supplied in a mahogany finish.

You will need to cut to length and bend where appropriate for installation. The

The Shipping container is specifically designed to be re-purposed as your
strongback or building jig. We cannot guarantee that the crate will make it to
you without any dings or dents however you should be able to make a few cuts
and screw in a few screws and be ready to go.

Bottom line is we want you to be successful. These are common sense kits and we strive to include
everything in the kit that makes sense. Before we ship we will be in contact with you to make sure that you are
